Artist: Kenojuak Ashevak, C.C., O.N., RCA (born 3 October 1927 in Ikerrasak camp, South Baffin Island, NWT; died 8 January 2013, Cape Dorset, NU)

Community: Dorset, Baffin Island, NU

Signature: Her name had by 1961 adopted the spelling: “Kenojuak,” and it forms part of the title (which is recognizably in the handwriting of the late Terry Ryan). This was the customary signing in those early days, with her personal chop as her signature in syllabics in red.

Condition: All corners are intact. Slight discoloration of the paper from exposure to light over time. Light wrinkling and masking tape residue readily removed during pre-framing restoration.
